Amongst Indian families, the tradition of selecting the eldest son as the successor goes back thousands of years. Most Indians would be familiar with lineage of Lord Rama Chandra, who was the sixty fourth king of the Surya Vanshi dynasty and his lineage is described as ‘Shri Ram Chandra son of Dashrath son of Aja son of Raghu son of Dileep’ and so on.
But do you know what gave birth to this family tradition. Let me tell you the answer through the medium of Astrology.
In my research and deep study of Yog, Dharna, Dhyan, Samadhi, Astrology, Vaastu, Principles of Panch Tattwa and Spiritualism, I have found that our ancient sages and saints gifted us a family value system that is based on principles Astrology. These ancient family traditions have been derived from the solar family of the Sun, the planets and other celestial bodies that are found in our solar system. As you know, millions of years ago, the Sun was all alone is universe. The planets came into existence after separating from the Sun and started revolving around the Sun. Our sages and saints gave the Sun, the place of the father. The Moon was placed in the position of the mother. The planet Jupiter was given the place of the elder brother and planet Mars was given the place of the youngerbrother.
Just like the Sun sustains life on Earth, the father sustains the entire family through his life giving energy. This is the reason why the position of the father is paid so much respect in the family and the eldest son is declared as the successor of the family to perform the family responsibilities like his father.
Today, all over the world people have begun to understand and appreciate the Indian system of Yog, Dharna, Dhyan, Samadhi, Astrology, Vaastu, principles of Panch Tattwa And Spiritualism. Time has come to adopt the dynastic traditions amongst Indian families.
Now, let me introduce you to a well known judicial family of India who is amongst the very few which has successfully followed the Indian family tradition for the last four generations. This family can inspire any Indian to adopt and follow the rich family traditions of our culture.

KOTHI NO. 18 RAJPUR ROAD
This is a photograph of Bungalow No.15 Akbar Road, New Delhi, situated in the prestigious Lutyens zone in New Delhi, which was the residence of Justice Mahinder Narain when he was the acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court. It was while living in this bungalow that Shri Amiet Andlay acquired the basic training in the discipline of law from his father. By following his families remarkable tradition, Shri Amiet Andlay is the fourth generation lawyer practicing in the Delhi High Court and helping people to get justice.
Shri Shiv Narain Andley, great grand father of Shri Amiet Andlay acquired the property known as Kothi No. 18 Rajpur road, Delhi which was spread over an area of 10,000 yards. It was while living in this Kothi that Shri Shri Narain Andley and Sh. Mahinder Narain, grand father and father of Sh. Amiet Andlay went on to become the Chief justice of Delhi High Court. Shri. Amiet Andlay, who was born in 18, Rajpur Road, Delhi, is the fourth generation lawyer in the family.
Shri Amiet Andlay is perhaps the only lawyer in the world whose father and grand father have both served as Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court.
Shri Amiet Andlay followed the footsteps of his father and got his early education in Modern School, Delhi and then went on to graduate from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, which is also the alumnus of his grand father and father. After obtaining degree of Law from the Law Faculty, Delhi University, Shri Amiet Andlay has been practicing as a lawyer in Delhi High Court.
It is said that the field of Law is akin to the spiritual world because just as a person has to meet his death for attaining swarga (heaven), in order to become a successful judge or lawyer one has to become like a statute of stone. Through the example of this great Indian family, my attempt is to inspire people to protect the heritage of their family and successfully follow their family tradition.
